At the time of writing this, the rewards pool for Season 19 comes in around $400,000. This is of course in addition to the numerous tournaments with huge prize pools available.
You can rest assured, there are no shortage of rewards if you are good at this game.
Everyone Begins with 1,200 MMR
With the minimum now at 800 MMR in order to receive SLP from Adventure Mode, this means you are able to still gain SLP, but with a limited amount of PVP (unless you stay above 800), which for some new players is a difficult task. We will report back on the difficulty for casual players to earn their SLP from Adventure mostly.
Major Rebalancing Patch
Based on data from the previous season, Axie Infinity Developers have decided to rebalance the game. You can view the details of these changes here: View Rebalance Patch Documentation
Adjusted Critical and Bonus Damage
Based on game data, the Devs decided that critical strikes were too random and too often decided the course of games.
Thye believe that the root cause was that Axies with High Speed & HP have a higher average number of cards played per game.
This means that despite getting a critical less frequently (as a percentage of cards played), they were getting more criticals relative to their morale (as they had more opportunities, on average).
To address this, the developers have put bonus damage on critical strikes dependent on morale.
So even low morale Axies can critical now, they’ll just get criticals for less damage.
They also believe that the adjustments will also balance high speed and high HP Axies.
Conclusion
Although we didn’t get the V2 Battle System or Land in this update, we did get some adjustments and a new standard for playing and earning in Axie Infinity.
